[name removed] was the best person who assisted my daughter in getting the best support, and eventual diagnosis. I was lacking support from the health visiting team, who didn’t see my concerns of ASD with my daughter, and it made me feel concerned and unsupported. I received a call from [name removed] to say she had noticed the concerns, has taken them on board and very quickly organised to meet me and my daughter. She immediately saw what I saw and became an advocate for my daughter. She visited preschool, made notes, observed her and prompted setting to act further. [name removed] supported me on the phone, and via email and eventually we received a diagnosis for my daughter - so we were right in the end, we did see differences in her in comparison to neurotypical children. We couldn’t have done this without [name removed].

Suggested improvements
[name removed] was spot on. The only improvement would be health visiting referring to her in the first instance.

Response from Community Services - Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Thank you for your kind words about Antonia, which I have passed on to her. I am, however, concerned about the initial response from the health visiting team, so have passed your concern to the service manager for comment. Best wishes, Hugh Jones, Patient experience Manager
