My therapist I worked with Dr [name removed] was a massive support through my entire mental health journey with CAMHS and always supported me no matter what I was facing. She is truly a credit to the team and everyone should have a [name removed] in their life supporting them. She supported me through some of my toughest moments and toughest battles without any judgement just kindness and true good wishes for me. The support of her has been appreciated by friends, family and teachers and the support and advice she has given me will remain with me for life. However, similar experiences cannot be said about other members of staff involved in my care. I had to complain through PALS and have a meeting in how I was treated in terms of my medication. I wasn't even spoken to directly, and as a young person of 17 years of age, I should be the centre of my care, after all no one knows me better than myself. Still, conclusions were drawn, apologies made for not having a medication review for months over due, still no appointment. As a young person, medication can have a huge effect on development and mental health, hence the need for 3 month check ups. I have not had this despite complaining and getting told it would happen.
