Efficient and helpful staff
I was frustrated that my scans were not ordered in time for my first appointment and the appointment was cancelled 1 hour before my attending. I then called the hospital that undertook my scans to make sure they would be there for the following day. Unfortunately the consultant was unable to view all of the scans due to some technical errors which could not be resolved at the time of my appointment. I now have to wait for the scans to be reviewed and get further advice on next steps.
I think if the scans had been received earlier these issues could have been resolved before I attended my appointment.
Everything was as I would expect and was a lovely experience with the exception of the woman on reception and the three men manning the door. The woman on reception was cold and didn't listen and interrupted me while I was speaking both on the way in and on the way out. When I corrected her about information she gave me that was wrong she said "that's not how this works". She then carried on and discovered that she was using wrong information.
When I was leaving reception an elderly man and his wife and son were entering. The elderly man was clearly the patient. The wife was told to leave and wasn't allowed in as there was already one person accompanying her husband. I consoled her on the street in the rain where she was very upset that she wasn't allowed to be with her husband because of Covid rules. She explained that they'd driven hours to get there and now she was left on her own on the street. There was absolutely no compassion shown to this woman.
Very efficient process considering the appointment was only requested on the afternoon of the 7th Jan (Friday) and my appointment was on the following Monday
Whole experience was very professional but also warm
All in all 10/10 beautiful clean surroundings and attentive kind staff. Everything was slick and timley.
You're changing room lockers were not the most intuitive and and could be improved
The consultation was most helpful in explaining the way my symptoms were affecting my balance and dizziness, also giving me information on how I can manage my condition.
The language used was easily understood by me as a person with no medical knowledge, I was very impressed by extra information provided by the clinic.
Very good experience. Only problem was that the IT technology didn’t work initially. It was, however, fixed.
Nurse answers given because I did not see a nurse.
