I have had four visits to the Cleveland Clinic. There is a total lack of coordination and a breakdown in communication. Everyone you ask a question has to ask someone else.My Chart is updated slowly, there is no one person that seems to know what is going on. I have my operation next Wednesday 15th June.I have had to phone numerous people at the Clinic to determine timeframe. I have given up trying to communicate with my Surgeons Secretary who doesn’t answer her phone or respond to emails or messages.
It is now 4.30 pm on Friday 10th June. I have just received a call from someone at the Clinic who tells me that I must bring my sleep apnea machine with me in case I stay in overnight. No mention of wash bag or night clothes.Yesterday I received call asking me if I had any old scans for Mr Edwards.

Consultant was fantastic but organization for appointments and follow ups was completely dysfunctional.
Lack of direct contact with consultant or secretary was the cause.
No one seemed to read messages in MyChart or communicate in a timely manner.

Anything to do with changes in the brain is terrifying. The consultant was compassionate and yet very professional in her delivery of bad news. Both neurophysiologists were exceptional in their delivery of the EEG - 20 mns and - ambulatory. I was sent a print out of my scan which really settled me and gave me time to understand my own neurological changes.
The gentleman in charge of the reception team on ground floor was incredibly good and kind.
And my husband really appreciated the young eomsn I charge of coffee/tea. Very gentle.
