Allowing up to one person along with the patient is a bit limiting and I don't find this limitation reasonable. You should allow up to two guests to come with the patient as sometimes other than family members we may want to bring along a person with appropriate expertise to understand better the terminology and general medical details that would have been given at the time of the appointment.

Having a person to meet you at the door and guide you is a nice touch. Offering drinks and having still water from the Austrian alps was also another nice touch.
