My consultant, Mr Issa, was fantastic. He treated me with care and respect and gave my all the information I needed to come to terms with my condition and its treatment.

I was very surprised that other patients in the waiting areas were allowed to take off their masks, especially as I was trying to stay safe whilst waiting for surgery The reception staff were not great at giving me information about delays, eg I had to wait for a phlebotomist and was getting a bit anxious as I had a train to catch at Victoria.
