I was unable to walk or sit up by myself. I couldn't eat or drink my food or even get dressed or washed after spending time at chapel allerton. I am walking by myself I now do everything. Thank you to the wonderful nursing staff for making it all happen for me. You all work hard an should be proud of yourselves.

All staff were friendly. I felt like a person not just a number on a list. This attitude is so important when you are in an environment where you feel scared and uncertain about outcome or treatment. At all times everything was clearly explained. The pain relief given was fantastic a great improvement on my last stay where I was in a lot of pain after my operation. Improvement staff more! They are worth it!

The nurses were extremely kind, sympathetic and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble. I have been in lots of different hospitals over the years and have to say this has to have been the best experience ever. Everyone very obliging.

The care I received from all departments was first class. Just want to give huge thanks to the healthcare staff, nurses surgeons, OT, physios, cleaners, catering staff. They all went out of there way to help in any way they could. This has instilled great confidence in me next operation in 6/8 weeks. There was a slight delay been discharged as complications with care package which meant too late to get transport (ambulance) home which meant I had to have another night in hospital so maybe look at ways to coordinate the services better. Thank you- great care all round. :-).

The nursing care on this ward is beyond comparison. All should have this care (if only they could clone themselves) if it were possible. I truly feel that they are a shining example of what should "be" everywhere and anywhere, if only they (staff) could be used as a teaching aid for all hospital staff, be that trainee, or established staff.For all dept who have nurse/patient contact. One of fellow patient became very unwell this morning and the love, compassion and caring that she was given was such that I could only hope for the same were I to need it, at any other time or hospital/ward.
