I enjoyed having side rooms as I do like periods of peace and quiet.
Physios - excellent.
Nurses - excellent.
The surgeon anaesthetist and their teams excellent.
All staff attentive to my needs which made the care needed went well. Sleep and painkillers plus the ice pack made a huge difference to my recovery.
I was treated with extreme care at all levels.
I was very pleased that the way outlined was broadly the way things happened and the telephone follow-up was a good idea. However there were a few out of date details and a few minor conflicting pieces of information. For example one leaflet said not to bring mobile phones and that there was a pay-phone on each ward. Fortunately I checked and found this information was out of date. Also there were minor conflicts in the two sets of information about the exercises to be done.
I found the meals very good and well-served. Thanks to all who were involved in my hip replacement.
Excellent
The approach and treatment of nursing staff, inc OT, physio was excellent. Kind warm positive. On ringing the buzzer, the response was slow at times (due to busy ward). Slightly more physio, i.e rather than *1 day and * 2 day would have been welcomed.
Staff, Drs and nurse are friendly understanding. The physiotherapists, psychologists, again all very helpful in my care making my time in hospital or rehab easier to cope with.
Faultless care and attention!
Excellent service, friendly staff.
Good explanations.
