Succession of locum doctors have greatly hindered my care and diagnosis. Almost impossible to get through by telephone and abysmal service IF you do. The practice seems to be grossly undermanned in terms of GPs and morale amongst staff is noticeably poor. Unless you can predict three weeks advance notice of illness and a requirement to have an appointment - don't bother. Thankfully I have changed to a difference and more efficient practice which is welcoming, helpful and professional.

Response from Wawn Street Surgery

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry that our practice did not meet your expectations of the service. We have sadly seen the parting of three GP’s over a short period of time but have continued to provide the same level of GP appointments through the engagement of qualified sessional GP’s and have now recruited three permanent salaried GP’s to our team. With over 2000 patients per full time GP there will be times when routine appointments for a particular doctor are already booked. Doctors also have outside commitments, holidays and training courses to attend. I would like to assure you that we always aim to provide a high standard of service to our patients but if anyone has concerns with any of the staff please contact the Manager.
