I had 3 separate appointments to make none of which could be made for the same day so I am having to go down on 3 different days. The nurse taking my blood did not know what I was being tested for, probably no fault of her own, I am not the system was clear. My second appointment went more smoothly and the nurse was lovely. One more to go next week.

Suggested improvements
Better knowledge of the patients records before the appointment. I am no dr and did not know what specific blood test I required, I tried to help as much as I could. It is never easy to get on the day appointments, the waiting times are way too long on the phone and call backs when you are at the front of the queue are not always convenient if you are working full time. The system needs to be better, I miss the days that I could book a scheduled appointment in a week or twos time.

Receptionists are helpful and always greet with a smile and cheery disposition

On each occasion I have been in, people come into the surgery because their prescriptions haven't been sent to the pharmacy for then to collect There needs to be some form of notice or display to say the wait times as you are just left in the waiting room for an unknown amount of time before you're appointment - it's polite to let people know how late their appointment is going to be (mine was 15 minutes behind schedule) The disabled/baby changing toilets weren't clean - they smelt bad and the baby changing mat wouldn't fold against the wall so I'm unsure how a wheelchair user would access the toilet in this state There are no scales to weigh a baby or electronic scales in general - my babies weight was estimated which at 7 weeks old isn't acceptable. How can you accurately know a baby is healthy if you are guessing facts about their development. My baby also cried throughout their physical but the gp circled that they can social smile (without asking me) so I'm unsure how he came to this judgement The appointment felt rushed and like a tick box exercise for the gp - no advice was given unlike in the midwifery and health visitor service and the checks were minimal In a previous appointment I raised concerns about my babies breathing (6weeks old) and was told to give him calpol and continue monitoring. I raised further concerns about reflux and his breathing in this appointment and was given gaviscon and told to continue monitoring again. I am breastfeeding my baby exclusively as he is bottle refusing and the medicine prescribed is to be taken using a bottle - it's not accessible to my baby so doesn't solve the problem Doctors sit on Google for the entire consultation and just send you links so you can read about what is wrong with you yourself - where is the care in this? Its cold and unfeeling... again feels like rushing a service that is meant to be there to care for you. GPs spend years at university and are paid for this role, if they just sit on Google and send links there is no point of a gp practice, you may as well just have a phone call service Doctors should know the name of their patient rather than asking the receptionist who they are seeing in front of the whole waiting room The whole appointment made me feel like me and my baby being there was a chore and I was an inconvenience to the doctor and this is not the first doctor who has made me feel this way at this practice. The doctors here dismiss concerns of the patients and there isn't the correct equipment provided to them for them to complete accurate physical exams of their patients.

The nurse I saw was really helpful and attentive. She listened to everything I had to say and communicated information and next steps to me clearly so I knew what was going on the whole time. The receptionist was able to get me an appointment quickly.

I use the call back facility which is easy and convenient. My consultation was promptly followed up efficiently and available to read on the NHS login within 24 hours. All in all a positive and reassuring experience.
