Share review of Queensview Medical Centre
I had a doctors appointment and found the doctor himself to be reasonably good. I have had a lump under my armpit for over two weeks and as I had a day off was getting it checked out. Like myself the doctor was unable to determine if the lump was hard or soft or give a definite diagnosis of what it was during the appointment. He decided to refer me for a scan but said to just cancel the scan should the lump go away before the referral goes through. All good until I got home to see a message from the surgery that the doctor was unable to do the referral. I am now in a difficult position if my lump doesn’t go away and pretty disgusted at the surgery. The only recommendation was to remake a doctors appointment if the lump is still there in a week. The surgery has very limited opening times as it doesn’t open weekends and I will be unable to book another appointment or call while at work. Hence going to the doctors on a day off. The only option now is to lose a days pay which I can’t do or go to the hospital if things get worse. My sister died last year in her forties from breast cancer so I believe in testing. Makes you wonder how many women are left at risk by this surgery.
