Had an appointment for bloods on 30/08/23 for 1:15pm. Arrived at the surgery around 15 minutes before the appointment, walked in checked in and all was fine. I sat and waited and I saw the blood room door was propped open, the lady come out around 1:10pm (5 mins before my appt) and started talking to the receptionist. I have her the benefit of the doubt as I thought she was on lunch break or something. 15 minutes go by of which time it was now 1:25pm, I was still sat there, only with 1 or 2 other patients who had come in after me in the waiting area. I was feeling frustrated now as there was no urgency to get things moving. Eventually she walks back round into the blood room (next to reception) and calls me in after she could see I had been sat there for around 30 minutes at this time. No apology with the fact I had been kept waiting, in fact she didn’t say a WORD to me. So unprofessional. She was rude and didnt check if I was okay with bloods. In fact I am fairly nervous around this and it had been made a lot worse by having to wait for so long in reception. When she put the needle In my arm she said ‘oh you don’t like these do you’ which did not help the matter, nothing reassuring. I honestly have never had a worse experience in my life down at the surgery and feel so disappointed. I had to leave my 6 month old baby at home to be looked after whilst I come out for a quick appointment which turned into a 1 hour trip.
