You can’t get an appointment over the phone or in person. Scales at the surgery are not accurate - 9lbs out. Gives false reading relating to BMI, therefore giving a false ‘increased risk’. Need calibration. Smear test, not available on request - does not meet individuals needs, generic age/risk applied rather than individual circumstances - ie previous family history/individual medical history and current state in life (ie menstruating still past the ‘normal’ age range). Questionnaire does not give option for drinking ‘once in a blue moon’/‘christmas/weddings’ etc., it’s either tee-total or once a month or less, which gives a false impression of frequency. Is pre-diabetes a justify of diabetes? There’s no option for pre-diabetes - even then nurse questioned it.

Suggested improvements
Bring back the option to make an appointment over the phone/in-person. Have accurate scales. Be more flexible in the questionnaire - perhaps option of ‘other, please state’. Allow requests for smears depending on personal circumstances.
