I had been phoning for several days to get a face to face appointment which I was told to go on dr link which told me I needed an ambulance so called back to say I’d just like to see a gp face to face to then receive a text to tell me they needed further information. Received a text the following day to say a dr would call which they did but explained I’d like to be assessed face to face as I didn’t feel that could be done over the phone. Called again to say I’d like to be seen face to face to still be told someone will call you even after explaining I couldn’t be assessed properly over the phone.Felt so bad that I ended up calling 111 who got me in the following day for emergency blood tests and chest X-ray and they would be back the following day as it was an urgent request. I received three of my blood results the following day but not the ones that were of any importance so have been phoning and messaging for over a week to be told my results aren’t back, then that they are back and all is ok, to then be told they are not back, to then be told they are awaiting review from a gp for over 7 days! To then receive a phone call to tell me they are not back and call the hospital myself which I did to be told the gps have to do that they can’t tell the patient anything to again spend hrs on the phone trying to get through to again be told they are not back and then receive another message telling me they are waiting to be reviewed by a gp to still hear nothing. I have messaged the dr and the reception team to have no response or to be told a million different things. The service I have received is extremely poor an no one seems to know what is going on. I have felt very ill and panicked because I’ve felt so ill and I don’t think it’s too much to ask to get test results that were requested as urgent or answers on where they are and when they will be back or even the results as apparently they have been with the gp for nearly 7 days! I phoned again yesterday and explained the situation to the receptionist who flagged it up again to still hear nothing! We have already changed my family over to a different gp service and I will be doing the same the care has been so poor. Unless you want to spend hrs on end on a phone to speak to someone who can’t tell you anything and send countless messages back and forth and receiving no kind of clear information or professional medical service avoid these gp practices!
