I had a telephone consultation with a nurse which was booked after a repeat blood test. When I answered the telephone the nurse asked what she could do for me which surprised me as the practice arranged the appointment. I found the discussion of the blood results and resultant change of medication dose confusing as I was unsure which blood test was being referred to.

Suggested improvements
Be better prepared for prearranged telephone consultations by reading the notes before the call. Where consultations are regarding results which could lead to a change in treatment it would be more appropriate to be face to face in the Medical Practice. This would enable clearer explanations to be given and facilitate joint decision making.

I couldn't even start to book an appointment. I've been ill (and getting worse) since Thursday pm last week. I wanted to book an appointment with a doctor and tried the e-consult, this is the response: "Your practice isn’t accepting online requests right now You can submit a request again from 8am tomorrow."

You're kidding! "... could have done better" ???? I couldn't even start !!!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. You can submit an econsult form anytime during the surgery opening hours. The forms are not available when the surgery is closed as we feel this would not be safe. If you are unable to submit an econsult form or if your request is urgent then you can still contact our reception team via telephone who will be able to pass this to the duty doctor for review. Outside of surgery opening hours patients are directed to 111 or A&E for an urgent medical advice.

Phoned the surgery this afternoon for an urgent appointment for my son who is no longer registered at Loxwood. The receptionist instantly registered him temporarily and he was able to complete an e-consult. Within half an hour the doctor had called him for a consultation and was able to prescribe the necessary medication, which was collected half an hour later. Excellent and friendly service!

In this instance, couldn’t have asked for more.

I try not to go to the doctors but unfortunately I have needed tests, reviews and to make a new plan. Loxwood have been brilliant. I have always managed ti get an appointment via e consult. I have the NHS app so couid see my blood results and other medical history. Dr Webb has helped me make a plan with longer term medication which I collect from the pharmacy on site.(again helpf and easy) Both my daughters and husband have also had to make appointments recently and again Loxwood had been efficient and effective. Thank you to the whole team at Loxwood surgery. it feels joined up, caring, kind and community focussed.

Nursing staff are always great! I’ve had more attentive and responsive asthma reviews since being registered here. Previously been on the same medication for years which wasn’t really working. They did everything to ensure the next medication I try is the right one for me and made sure to check everything. Reception staff can be friendly, it depends on who you get. I believe it was Summer on reception yesterday and she was great and really helpful.

Suggested improvements
I find the only way to access appointments is via the econsult as I struggle with the phone. I put my preferred contact method and it always seems to be ignored and they always phone. I can understand somethings are better communicated by phone but to just tell me my blood test form is ready to collect can be done via text or email and does not require a phone call.
