Dr Piper was rushing, didn't listen and didn't seem to care at all. Really patronising. I had to see another GP to get the proper tests and my medications. And the receptionists are too busy chatting to help you.

Suggested improvements
Get doctors who care about patients.

We would appreciate you contacting the surgery directly, preferably via email sxicb-wsx.complaints.loxwoodmedicalpractice@nhs.net so that the circumstances around your recent consultation and experience of our surgery can be fully investigated, thank you.

I wanted to thank you for the excellent service my partner (a veteran) is receiving. The doctor rings back promptly and listens! So far, this has been great in helping your patient to feel contacting the doctor is worthwhile and supportive. This has not always been the case at previous practices, so thank you to your team!

Suggested improvements
Please keep it up! Veterans, especially men, find it challenging to open up about issues, so thank you for prioritising them!

The econsult system is good but lengthy when the question is simple. However the text message from the pharmacy saying my prescription was ready was absolutely brilliant and shows that patients feedback is listened to .

Suggested improvements
As a regular’customer’ it would be nice to return to the days that you could see the same doctor , especially when it’s a follow up on a previous consultation that was requested by the GP. Seeing a different GP is like reinventing the wheel.

Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear that the text messaging service from our dispensary is working well. Where possible we do try and facilitate continuity with clinicians taking into consideration availability, GP working patterns and emergency appointments.

It has got worse I wasxwaiting behind a chap who was told we don't do cash anymore he was rather shocked and I must admit I was surprise I came home and looked on their website and couldn't find any suggestion of no cash.

Suggested improvements
I booked medication on line went in a week and half later only for them to say in hadn't come through so had too do a paper prescription whilst in there and go back a few days later.

Following a review of our financial processes, and the lack of banking facilities locally, the Practice would prefer a card payment for any monetary transaction. This will cover any payments made to us by patients for prescriptions and payments for any private work such as insurance reports or letters. Cash is still an option if you do not have a bank card. With permission you can also request our bank details to complete a direct bank transfer online if this option is preferred.

It is nearly impossible to see or speak to a doctor. The receptionists are aggressive and unhelpful. The e-consult system is terrible. I came into the surgery on Friday because I was suffering with some chest pain but it was so unwelcoming that I walked straight out again. Nothing about the surgery makes me want to engage with it. I know that primary care is under pressure (I have been a GP) but the surgery makes me want to stay away.... although the alternatives are even worse, I suppose (A&E at Guildford).

Suggested improvements
Being able to book an appointment with my GP would be a first step. Without having to go through the e-consult, which is dreadful.

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy during your visit to the surgery. The eConsult form is an NHS backed service that helps us allocate appointments and care appropriately to meet the high demand. Whilst we appreciate it doesn't suit everyone, it is proven to be successful for the majority of patients. All eConsults and telephone triage consultations are reviewed by a duty clinician and the admin team advised to allocate an appointment or signpost the patient to the most appropriate service, within a clinically safe timescale. Any patients presenting to our surgery with symptoms that require urgent assessment will also be seen on the same day by our duty clinician and signposted to the most appropriate service for urgent treatment. We appreciate this is a public platform, so if you wish to contact the surgery to discuss in more detail about your personal experience please contact sxicb-wsx.complaints.loxwoodmedicalpractice@nhs.net
