My request for blood tests went very smoothly from booking them to the blood being taken.
I was quite disappointed in the care I got yesterday, he didn't even examin me..and didn't take what I was saying in to account.. as it took me weeks of ringing to actually get an appointment I had a few things to discuss, like the lump I have found..and he sent a message to the receptionist to make me another appointment..when he could of delt with it there and then..I'm on a walking frame and in pain, so having to keep getting to and from the Dr's in taxis is difficult and expensive.
I rang surgery on 15 Jan no in person appointments available, offered a phone appointment Sat 20 prescribe antibiotics and told to ring back if they didn't work, as someone would have to look in my ear. They didn't work and rang back Monday 5 Feb "no appointments for the the foreseeable future" only another phone call on Saturday 10th Feb. Although my mobile number is on the system my first choice number was the house phone two messages left telling me my as I hadn't answered the calls my details had now been removed and to take matter forward I would have to ring the surgery or 111. Rang the surgery 15 Feb again no appointments for that day told I could go to the drop in centre at Corby call 111 or ring as close to 8.00 the following morning. I rang at 8 the following morning and was told as it was an ear infection I should call the Northampton Ear Clinic. Spoke to Jane at the clinic who told me as it was an infection she could not do anything and that I would have to ring the surgery. Rang the surgery on Monday 19 Feb and got an appointment to see Dr Gale.
This appointment was offered to me as a follow-up
I rang at 8.00 am but was number 20 in the queue so a bit of a wait
