Saw Ashley, the Paramedic, a week before Christmas. I had suffered a nasty fall a few days previously and was in a lot of pain. He checked me over, asked questions about how/why I fell and I felt reassured. He is a credit to the Practice and I hope he stays. Lovely young man.
Receptionists are always polite and as helpful as they can be. However my parents are 82 and 87 and find it impossible to manage to get an appointment. The recorded message at in the phone tells them they have to use the Internet for an urgent appointment. They are unable to doiso. When they speak to someone they are told a receptionist will ring back with an appointment my mother is not at all mobile and my fathet showing signs of dementia and hard if hearing. There is a reasonable chance rhey are unable to get to the phone to answer it. They have been waiting since yesterday for a phone call. They are unable to access any messages left on theiir phone. Whilst your system is great for younger people I feel it is putting the elderly and my parents in particular at risk. They now feel there is no point ringing the doctor as there are so many hoops to jump through.
Bal gave mum time to explain her concerns and listened carefully. He was thorough in his investigations and considered the whole picture - not just presenting symptoms. His manner was kind and friendly.
Very welcoming atmosphere, staff and staff's approach with children.
Appointment wasn't rushed and interested in you as a person.
