This was a wasted appointment. We had been told that my son could have his blood taken at the surgery by a GP at a recent appointment. We booked a blood test with no issues. On arrival we were told you could not take his blood as he was under 16. We then had to book another appointment at NGH for the test. He missed additional time from school due to this error. Why were we told one thing, allowed to book and appointment and then be told that it couldn’t be done? You have delayed his blood test and caused him to miss a second morning of school.

Ensure everyone gives the correct information to save wasted trips to the surgery and taking up appointments unnecessarily
