I am 100% satisfied with both the Gps and nurses that I have seen at the surgery. I have experienced them being informative, understanding and very helpful. My not so good recent experience has been in regards to the way my prescription request from my Psychiatrist has been dealt with. I understand that prescription request get sent to the surgery by fax. There have been two occasions recently that a prescription request has been sent via a fax by my Psychiatrist to the surgery, yet staff at the surgery say they have not received it, when in deed later find that they have found it. I have been told that this is a regular on going problem, not just for me but others who are also registered at the surgery. May I suggest that prescription request are received via email. this may well prevent fax's going missing. If the email suggestion is not possible then how about ONE person each day being allocated to deal with any incoming fax's rather than it going missing. Last friday a prescription request was sent in order for me to start a medication increase on the same day. However, it could not be found and since has taken a further two days to arrange the prescription to be authorised and be ready for me to collect. I want to just add, that due to my illness I have recently had my medication changed and it is important that should my Psychiatrist make alterations to my medication that this happens quickly in order for me to maintain a healthy emotional well-being. Thank you :)
