Jumping through hoops to get an appointment.
Made an appointment (telephone) but was never called.
Large wait-times for appointments.
GP rushed me during in-person appointment.
Receptionist seemed friendly (albeit stressed/rushed).
Based on my recent experience. Waiting to get a planned appointment quite long, and a bit scruffy and untidy in the waiting area.
Brilliant GPs, nurses and receptionsts. Shared decision making and informed decisions for treatment even to the point of offering multiple treatments and educating about each one before choosing on one together. Only mark lower for appointment availability, I usually have to wait for around 2 weeks for an appointment, but that is because my regular GP is extended care and works part-time and I arrange appointments via NHS app. If urgent someone is always there that can see you same day if calling early when the surgery opens and if nothing available reception is helpful in redirecting. Prescription approvals are quick aswell. Generally referrals are dealt with very well and the GP went to an extent of calling the scanning department to check if my address updated and when should I expect a letter with an appointment because the number I've got from the hospital wasn't answered to and I waited for a long time.
Good doctors who are considerate and effective
Good shared decision making.
Very king
I had to make an appointment with a nurse practitioner as no Dr was available to book on line within a week.
The nurse was very efficient and reassuring and advised me on how to treat my symptoms and that I should call if no improvement apparent by this time next week.
Keele Practice was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
