Appointment via internet booking. Flu clinic well organised, 11-10-14
My wife and I have been patients at Greystone House throughout much of our adult life. We have raised four children (now grown up) - all cared for by the staff at the surgery too. The surgery has covered all our needs with a smile and compassion - some things minor and a a few life threatening but all dealt with successfully. Over the years the surgery has modernised and adapted, not only to our changing needs, but to those of the town and the local community as well. We would have no hesitation in recommending it as one of the best and most valued parts of our health system.
The surgery uses an online system for appointments which makes it easy to get an appointment with the doctor you want at the time you want. A text is sent to your mobile to remind you of your appointment. On arrival at the surgery you are able to register your attendance using the touchscreen terminal. If you need to speak to the reception staff they are friendly, efficient, courteous and helpful. Prescription repeats can be requested online. Flu clinics are advised by text. The surgery is always clean and tidy.
After years of declining health, I have no hesitation in recommending Greystone House surgery. After forty years of type 1 diabetes I have complete confidence in a surgery for the first time ever. Here is why -
With the vast majority of health professionals, I have spent a great deal of my time repeatedly explaining the same things again and again, with the possibility that I will say something incorrect or even potentially hazardous to the care I receive. But this doesn't happen at Greystone House due to them all working together as a team. I've never found this close co-operation at any other surgery (and certainly not when it comes to hospital departments) which results in seamlessly integrated care and a lack of delays in moving things forward smoothly and rapidly. All the personnel I have contact with seem to have some knowledge of my requirements and any queries I have are dealt with rapidly and thoroughly, from the reception desk through to the knowledgeable nursing staff to the friendly and efficient doctors themselves.
Do the reception staff greet you by name at your surgery? They do at mine. They are all very fine indeed, and I owe them so much.
Went along for a Saturday clinic flu jab on 27/9/14. Went straight in to see the GP (Dr Aslett) who was especially helpful in providing general health advice as well as the flu jab. Very helpful and informal staff and met by patient representatives who were helping other patients in form completion and managing queues.
A good surgery who try hard to provide outstanding healthcare.
Greystone House Surgery was awarded the iWantGreatCare certificate of excellence in 2024 for delivering outstanding care.
