The telephone appointment system is ridiculous I have been on hold on numerous occasions for at least 40 minutes each time and by the time you do get through all the appointments are gone totally unacceptable, some of the receptionists are rude and think they now it all, including an occasion last week when I had to argue a point that I was entitled to some inoculations free on the nhs and the nhs website saying so yet they still argued the point, in the end I spoke to a nurse who was quite surprised that I had been mis-informed . Just not good enough they need to be taught manners, and retrained .
Frustrating that you are on hold from 10 - 30 minutes when phoning. Also frustrating that you can't make an appointment in advance and often have to call back at another time depending on your query/request. On the plus site the new booking appointment system means you can normally see a doctor on the same day. The Dr telephone appointments are also really helpful to deal with things efficiently and appropriately. Face to face all nursing staff, doctors and receptionist have been professional, helpful and reassuring.
The service is terrible I was waiting over an hour with no sight of a doctor worst experience I have ever experienced very rude .
The phone system is ridiculous, extremely frustrating and simply IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. After about 30 attempts to get through to the automated system (you can't even get through to the automated system you just get a busy tone and have to hang up and try again) you are placed on hold for a minimum of 25mins. You finally get through only to be told that the appointments have all gone and to try again tomorrow. The saga starts again. Reception staff are too occupied faffing about with bits of paper or chatting to one another before they acknowledge you are waiting to be seen, they are rude and impatient not to mention incompetent. Usually unable to find you on the system because they are on the wrong screen!!
One dr in particular is dismissive, passive aggressive and has an air of arrogance about him. He is unapproachable, unfriendly and extremely intimidating. He must go.

Very informative discussion with Jayne Alibone. Very sympathetic consultation. Excellent diagnosis and supply of prescriptions.
A very caring experience.
