Never get an appointment within a reasonable time frame. More advanced telephone appointments would be helpful for me ie: to book an appointment after a blood test

I was at the surgery collecting a prescription for my husband when I decided to make an appointment for our Covid and flu jabs. The receptionist offered me shingles and pneumonia jabs too so I booked all four but on different dates. Very straightforward and the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.
Suggested improvements
Can’t think of anything! I was having a shingles and pneumonia vaccination. Went straight in. Very charming nurse. Came out and took advantage of taking my blood pressure before I left!

I'd rather turn up and sit in a queue in the waiting room to see a doctor. Would do away with the hundreds of missed appointments, and be a better use of doctors time surely?

Nothing, I had an early appointment with the nurse and was seen straight away.

Only mechanism to see a GP seems to be calling at 8am which isn’t brilliant- I need to have a good discussion with the GP about my meds and blood results now - it’s non urgent but I still have to go in with everyone on this mad dash first thing

The apt I had was brilliant. The nurse was amazing. The least in fact zero painful blood test I’ve ever had. If she hadn’t said something I don’t think I’d have even felt it. Wow !
She was quick too which was very much appreciated as I had left my dog on her own which she dislikes.

Well its not easy process , often one has to sit on the phone for some considerable time!

No all good apart from making appointments. Too many people chasing to few appointments. Twenty years ago it was an easy process. Billingshurst in my humble appointment has been vastly over developed, with enormous housing estates everywhere. Not enough infer structure to match
