I’m 78 and making appointments online is not an option as they are not easy to do, if I phone at 8am or appear usually appointments for doctors are gone as most people have booked online, this is very frustrating as I’m left with seeing a nurse as my only option, the nurses are very good and have solved my problems in the past but are limited in their knowledge. At my age I’m grateful to see anybody that can help with my problems but it would be nice if I could see my chosen doctor.

I felt really looked after and listened to :)
The systems for making appointments and consultations keep changing and very little information is published about this. On the advice of the receptionist I have learned to use Econsult which can work quite well when you get used to it although you have to answer a number of irrelevant questions and it relies on the patient being able to use online systems. I discovered today that this service has now been reduced so that it only operates from 7-10am on weekdays.
The care at this surgery is very good when you can get to it but navigating the mechanisms to do so is becoming more and more convoluted and will certainly elude some of those most in need.

Can't get appointments
Good afternoon, I am sorry to hear you are struggling to get an appointment, as I'm sure your aware demand is very high at the moment for all types of appointments and we continue to offer as many as we can. Did you know we offer an econsult service? this service is available between 7.00am and 10.00am and can be accessed via our website (https://www.billingshurstsurgery.co.uk/appointment-system.php) or if you have the NHS app, via the "ask my GP for advice" section in the NHS app, I hope you find this helpful.
