Thank you once again for sorting my ears out. When I mentioned that I was going away & flying to Australia, your receptionist found me an appointment. I am so grateful.
Hello, its fantastic to hear that we were able to help you, we hope you enjoyed your time away. As these reviews are anonymous it would be good if you could write in directly using our contact us form (https://www.billingshurstsurgery.co.uk/contact.php). We could then take a look at your specific case to see if we could make the system smoother for you. In general we do ask the nurses to check the ears first, this is as appointments for microsuction / ear syringing are done by specially trained nurses/GPs, by checking beforehand it means that the appointments in the specialist clinics don't go to waste if the procedure isn't required. That being said there are exceptions to this rule so it would be worth contacting us directly using the link above so we can see what we can do for you. Many Thanks, Billingshurst Surgery
For this vaccination appointment it was easy and efficient but that’s not always the case and for medical appointments it’s almost impossible
Very quick in and out for a pre-booked flu jab
No interaction with staff required - self check-in.
Pretty easy to get appointments with nurses. Off-puttingly hard to get a doctor's appt.
When you have an appointment I can not fault the service from everyone, very happy, BUT extremely hard to get one, which makes it very frustrating, and upsetting. The booking system is letting the whole service down.
Hello, Thank you for your kind words above and also for your suggestions for improvements. My apologies it has taken so long to respond to your review as well. Demand vs capacity is a very big issue in the NHS at the moment, and we are definitely no exception to this. In the new year we will be expanding our clinical team further, we have had a successful round of recruitment lately after an 18 month search for more clinicians in all our teams. We will be announcing more on our new staff once they are in post in the new year. As for online booking this has changed recently to try and help us with demand, you can now submit eConsults online (via our website (https://www.billingshurstsurgery.co.uk/appointment-system.php) or the NHS app under the "ask my GP for advice" section). These options will remain in place each day until we reach capacity. The advantage of submitting online via an eConsult rather than booking an appointment online is that we can then make sure you are booked in with the most appropriate clinician. So far the feedback from the eConsult service has been very positive so I am hopeful this will help you best. As reviews come through anonymously on here please feel free to contact us directly if you wish to discuss anything in more detail (https://www.billingshurstsurgery.co.uk/contact.php). Many Thanks, Billingshurst Surgery
Just very difficult to get a Doctors advice. What I consider important does not appear to be important to reception. Have had to be insistent on receiving a call from a doctor.
