I had an annual health check with nurse 13th April. Through her I was able to get an emergency appointment with Dr Saunders later that day. Dr Saunders was very helpful and prescribed steroids and antibiotics to treat my breathlessness. I had tried unsuccessfully to get a GP appointment even though I pointed out how breathless I was. I was told to ring 111 which I did without success. I feel lucky that I had the health check on 13th to enable me to see a doctor that day.
The nurse I saw made future appointments while I was there
Phoning is frustrating. I always seem to be number 20 in the queue regardless of the time of day. I am ancient and treasure my remaining days to waste them on trying to talk to an actual human. Despite increasing global warming I drive to the surgery; a far more efficient use of my time. By the bye, do you ever pause to ask yourselves; what happened to the Ice Age? Just a thought for the day.
The lady who took my blood was wonderful
The receptionist was very rude to me.would not believe I had a Face to Face apt.she told me to go home and the nurse would ring me.she was not prepared to listen to me.on my way out I managed to bring up my txt. I then managed to speak to another receptionist and was told to sit down.
