I came for my annual check up. Blood pressure, weight, blood test. I’ve had a few of these. The nurse was great, very reassuring. She told me I would get a call from a pharmacist I don’t know who doesn’t know me who will have access to my medical history. (No choice) normally my doctor would make me an appointment, usually someone I know and trust, to discuss my results. I was also concerned about my blood pressure, the nurse gave me a chart to fill in to bring to you to be added to my notes. Apparently so the pharmacist can see these and discuss action with me. It’s a great surgery, brilliant staff. I would like to be able to see face to face. Maybe I’m older and do try to keep up with the times. It’s just so sad. We are being let down not by you but by the system and world we live in since Covid. This is not a criticism of Billingshurst Surgery but sometimes patient needs need to be taken into account.
The staff were helpful
The reception desk are friendly but don’t do anything to help. The doctor told me to book a follow up appointment in a week’s time. The desk staff don’t book that you have to use the NHS app (but was not told initially that is only open 7 to 10 ) and that when slots are gone you don’t get told why. Two days later I ring back, learn a bit more, but do not actually get service. I have to try at 7 tomorrow or ring for an emergency slot next week. Blood pressure and stress through the roof.
Very professional.
Appointments are difficult to arrange- restricted time to book!
