I wouldn’t say it’s easy as rarely possible to get one on the phone but having the option of the e-consult helps. However if you only want to ask the GP a question following an appt, it’s annoying to have to make another appt just for that (as happened to me recently).

Suggested improvements
Sometimes I feel there’s a lack of communication between departments. I was in the surgery recently for an ECG and someone else at surgery was trying to get a message to me from a GP about another matter but wasn’t aware that I was actually in the surgery at that time (even though it would’ve been in my records). I only know because my husband took a call from the surgery on his home office line. The receptionist struggled to find answers.
