Having managed to get an emergency appointment for sever abdominal pains I was seen by a locum Dr Ferdinand Dalcy Morris. Dr Morris was absolutely brilliant. He took great care to listen to me and examine me thoroughly being particularly sensitive to the pain I was experiencing. After finishing his examination he personally contacted the Surgical Assessment Unit at GWS and arranged for them to see me as an urgent case. Without going into detail of my illness I will confirm that the Consultant Surgeon at GWS ordered my immediate admission to the SAU ward an performed emergency surgery on me after obtaining the results of numerous tests, an X-RAY and a CAT scan. Yes GWS were excellent but I suspect that without the expert and prompt action by Dr Morris, I may well have not been alive today to write this review. Heartfelt thanks to Dr Ferdinand Dalcy Morris.

At the end of my consultation I was asked to book an appointment in about a weeks time, asked at reception was told he couldn’t book me an appointment until he had talked to his colleague later in the day, over a day later no word as need appointment for blood and ecg results will have to suffer and go and see him again.come on Beversbrook your receptionists were really good i hope they read this and give them more training.

Receptionists could be more inviting and try being more approachable. On another note i saw a lovely young nurse today for a smear test at 2pm and she was absolutely lovely. You need to keep hold of her. Nice chat before hand and made me feel completely at ease.

I visited Beversbrook Surgery today and was seen by Dr Helen Davidson who I believe is a locum. After receiving the usual friendly greeting by the receptionist, I was seen promptly. Dr Davidson was extremely helpful and understood my anxiety attached to a recent health worry. She explained things thoroughly and referred me to see a cardiologist to have some more tests done. She put my mind at ease and I was very happy by the way I was treated. Thank you!
