I wanted an appointment today, a member of staff
Offered to sit with me in the surgery and show me how to get to see someone, she explained it simply, I didn’t feel like I was stupid.
It is a good link
Thanks Paula
Dear Patient - thank you for taking the time to log this review - Paula will be delighted to hear she was helpful to you. Best wishes Julie Taylor - Operations Manager
This system is not fit for use.
After speaking to 111 clinician last night, I was told my 3 month old would be seen by the GP first thing this morning and they had sent the request for the appointment.
Call surgery at 10am as heard nothing- hadn't even been requested to bookings team. Sent through to request a GP appointment for today.
Call at 1pm as still nothing, all while 3 month old is in pain. Waiting for an opening apparently- receptionist couldn't book anything for me. She followed up with bookings team.
1.30pm a message from the team offering a remote consultation at SOME POINT this afternoon.
Tell me how a remote consultation is suitable for a potential ear infection? This is unacceptable. The doctors are great when you actually get to see them but receptionists should be able to book urgent appointments and actually help patients rather than being another step in the long chain.
Dear Patient - We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment and would welcome the opportunity to discuss further, As your message is anonymous I am unable to deal with the specifics noted but if you could email beversbrook@nhs.net and ask for Paula, our patient experience lead, she will call you and I know she would be delighted to advise what improvements are ahead and what other services are open to you that you may be unaware of. With best wishes - Julie Taylor - Operations Manager & Complaints Lead
I have just been on the phone for 40 minutes trying to speak to someone, Every time 20 minutes was reached the phone was deliberately disconnected. Can someone please explain to me how anyone ever gets an appointment or an answer to a query?!! This surgery used to be amazing it is now rubbish,!!
Dear Patient - We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment and would welcome the opportunity to discuss further, If you could email beversbrook@nhs.net and ask for Paula, our patient and experience lead to call you I know she would be delighted to advise what improvements we are trying to make. An appointment was made for my daughter’s annual health check, this was made well over a month ago although 3 months out of date.
The morning before the appointment she was sent a message saying that her appointment was going to be moved at this point she had a meltdown, I sent a message asking them to be aware that she has Autism and change causes anxiety and in turn can cause a seizure. The receptionist responded by leaving us at the surgery that she is familiar with although a different time which I can manage with supporting her.
At the appointment which was over 30 minutes late, the doctor went over her meds. She tried to dismiss us, I then asked her was she going to do blood pressure etc, she stated it’s only a med check. I explained that it was her annual health check, she stated that she hadn’t been told this but would expect that for even a med check for certain meds this would require certain health checks to be done? She did do them and explained that she would call us later as she didn’t have enough time to ask other questions, the original appointment was a double appointment! She did call later that afternoon.
Unfortunately and sadly for us this has been the final issue and we have decided to move to another surgery. We have stayed as our daughter needs continuity but feel after her having a major health scare and this being dismissed we can’t stay here any longer.
Dear Patient - Thank you for taking the time to write this review and we are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction - we are unable to investigate further as your message is anonymous but I would very much welcome the opportunity to look further into the concerns raised. if you would like to email me on julie.taylor167@nhs.net I would be happy to do that. - With best wishes - Julie - Patford House Partnership, Complaints Lead
Unfortunately there are too many people in the area and healthcare suffers. I don’t know what the answer is but the Surgery is struggling with making appointments.
Dear Patient - Thank you for taking the time to send this review - your comments are very welcomed. We do have some new services open to patients for appointments - if you would like to email beversbrook@nhs.net and ask for Paula our Patient Experience Lead to contact you I know she will be happy to discuss further. Many thanks - Julie Taylor - Operations Manager
