I am lucky enough to not just be a patient of Prof. Chapman-Sheath, but also work in the same environment as him. He was extremely kind when I approached him at work regarding my knee pain and when I was put under his care, I felt he really wanted to fix the problem without going for the easiest option. I am currently waiting for a 2 part cartilage transplant operation, and I feel totally safe in his hands.
Looking forward to getting the surgery performed after the COVID lockdown and pressure on the NHS reduces
The Professor has given my daughter back her mobility and made her pain free, could you ask for anything more? This wonderful man has a fantastic way with children and parents alike, always comforting and reassuring whilst providing enough detail at the right level to be informative and not scary!
My praise is unreserved and unlimited. As a family, we can't thank him enough.
So pleased for you all with such a good recovery and outcome. It’s been a pleasure looking after you all
Thank you Mr Phil Chapman Sheath for giving me my life back. After partial knee replacement surgery at another Hampshire hospital I was left unable to walk or function. I was left in terrible pain, had to give up work. Mr Chapman Sheath took me under his wing and preformed a revision surgery. OMG!!! I can now walk have no pain and life is great thanks to this amazing man. I really cannot thank him enough. No more pain killers and I’m only 6 weeks post surgery. The staff throughout my experience at Southampton general hospital was second to none and I sincerely thank this amazing team for such dedication.
So glad to hear that you have made such an excellent recovery and delighted to pass this on to my excellent team at University Hospital Southampton - keep up the exercises and maximise the potential to return early to a normal life full of activity !

I saw Mr Phillip Chapman - Sheath for the first time in outpatients at The Spire in Southampton today . He was very approachable, very pleasant and knowledgeable. He didn’t make me feel I was wasting his time, because my knee was much better.
Why can’t all Drs and Consultants be like Mr P CS.
Lovely man and smiles a lot
Thank you so much.
