My daughter was treated in Mr Khemani's clinic at Gatwick Spire Hospital for a tonsilectomy four weeks ago. We first met with Mr Khemani at the beginning of December and from the outset, he understood her symptoms and made several recommendations for her tonsilectomy taking into account her age and schooling. He made her feel very comfortable and not at all scared of the process ahead. We booked her procedure in that very same day for six weeks later (at our request). Two weeks prior to her operation, we spoke to the paediatric nurse who would be looking after her, Femi, who went through everything with us, what the operation would entail and what to expect afterwards. On arriving at the hospital, we were showed to our room and Femi instantly built a rapport with my daughter talking directly to her (rather than me), asking her questions, making her feel comfortable and laughing/joking with her. The anaesthetist came in to speak to my daughter too, before she walked down to theatre on her own - again, she was very reassured by the operating staff and didn't feel scared at all. Following the operation, Mr Khemani came to see me and let me know that the operation had gone very well, before my daughter was brought back into her room, having spent 45 minutes in recovery. Again, Femi was fantastic after the operation - checking on us every half an hour, bringing water/snacks and giving regular medication (as well as a certificate and cuddly toy for my daughter for being so brave). Mr Khemani was fantastic from our initial consultation right through to our follow-up appointment - he kept us informed and we all felt totally reassured throughout the whole process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Khemani to anybody.
