I have been under the care of Marco Malahias for a year now and expect to be discharged at my next appointment. What a privilege it has been to be a patient of his. I felt totally safe in his highly skilled hands. Every step of my journey explained in detail, possible side effects of surgery but the reassurance that all will be well in good time. If I had to trust this man with my life, I would. How blessed the NHS is to have him on their team. I was treated with respect and efficiency by everyone in his team, including Debs his secretary. Thank you so much. My only complaint is that Marco Malahias cannot be cloned and his skills shared with every hospital. p.s. he wears lovely aftershave.

Dr Malahias is a fantastic plastic surgeon, he is caring and kind and you know you can trust him, he puts you at ease and makes you smile when you are petrified of the procedure, he follows up ensuring you can call back anytime, thank you

Mr. Marco Malahias is an incredible plastic surgeon who has undertaken toe reconstruction on my left big toe in June this year at Good Hope hospital and has done an outstanding job together with his theatre team assistants! Mr. Malahias portrayed an excellent caring approach throughout the procedure and explained in depth what he would do beforehand and explained in detail what would happen during the various stages of my recovery. He saw me on many occasions during plastics dressings clinic for 3 months and always gave me confidence that my toe would heal given time and his views were so accurate. I feel so lucky to have had such an excellent surgeon to remove a non invasive skin cancer from my toe causing me so much pain during the previous two years and now it’s October and I am pain free at last! Worthy praise is also due to his plastics team of excellent nurses who have taken regular care of me since June at Good Hope hospital and without exception, have all offered me so much advice about how to dress my toe and have given me much support and confidence throughout with their gentle friendly approach. Last, but not least, praise must also go to Debbie, Mr. Malahias’ secretary, who has always been so reliable and helpful both before and after my operation. What a great team at Good Hope hospital! Everyone I have had the pleasure to be in touch with has treated me with great respect and kindness. Today I have been discharged as my toe has now healed and I am so grateful for the NHS team there for all their help. Thank you all so much!

I first met Mr Malahias back in February and I can honestly say that day has changed my life for the better. I had a very extensive BCC on my forehead which I had been in denial and scared to do anything about for years he identified my anxiety and the fact that it had taken alot for me to turn up to that appointment and decided to perform the removal there and then I am sure in his lunch break!! this was the best thing for me. A week later it was all reconstructed he was amazing throughout knew exactly how to deal with me and went completely above and beyond in my recovery. I had another BCC removed from my chest in May and again I cannot fault the treatment I received even giving advice when he was on holiday. Nothing is ever too much trouble and he truly has your welfare at heart. I have been very nervous about doctors, hospitals etc but Mr Malahias has completely changed this he truly is an amazing man. My journey with him is not yet complete with some more surgery in September. If you are lucky enough to be under the care of Mr Malahias you are on to a winner. The NHS is very lucky to have such a dedicated individual within their organisation.
