I am an 82 year old lady and I was obviously nervous and anxious about the procedure. Mr Varghese and his team were exceptional. Mr Varghese put me at ease, was quietly confident, he explained everything to me and listened to anything I said and responded appropriately. He also answered the many questions I had and completely put me at my ease.

Dr. Varghese treated me for a secondary abdominal hernia repair using two types of mesh. From the outset, he was understanding, calming and confidence-inspiring. His clear knowledge of,and brilliant record in, the area of hernia repair made me feel very positive about the surgery. The surgery went well, and his follow-up care has been stellar. He made sure I had the best chance of full recovery by ensuring I had access to negative-pressure dressings and giving me thorough check ups. Dr.Varghese is a wonderful surgeon and a lovely man, and I would have no qualms at all in recommending him to anyone.

Joseph Varghese is a very caring and professional consultant. He is the consultant who has looked after my mother's treatment for bowel cancer and has always been compassionate and honest. He has high standards and a good work ethic which is passed on to his team. It is very apparent that his team hold him in high regard and respect him.

I first met Joseph Varghese in 2017, with Severe Acute Pancreatitis, i believe he helped save my life, as i was in an Coma, and then intensive care and on the recovery wards. With his help to allocate that i had a large Pseudocyst after my Pancreatitis, getting me the right treatment and help to resolve this. I was in a bad state and he and his team and others i believe helped save my life, i can not praise Joseph enough. Stephen Russell.
