I feel very lucky to have been referred and introduced to Mr Dabke following two separate traumas and therefore two separate procedures. The initial meeting was in 2019 after an MRI showed ligament buckling, months after I had been treated for throat cancer and suffered a GBH assault with a metal baseball bat. I was 59 at that time with worsening balance issues and loss of control of my fingers, as a guitarist this was a devastating situation to be in. Mr Dabke explained clearly that the best option was to operate a decompression to my spinal chord by fusing C4/5. Mr Dabke also explained that due to complications from recent radiotherapy and chemotherapy for cancer treatment it would be necessary to operate from the posterior as the were some tissue issues. Shortly after the procedure I started to feel the benefit and could play my guitars as a beginner, I am sure the finger exercises helped as a physio, eventually as Mr Dabke explained after a one to two year period post operation I would see the full benefit of the operation, I think it was a surprise even to Mr Dabke my fingers returned to an almost normal movement. Shortly after the two year period had passed I was injured in a road traffic accident where the third party drove into the rear of my vehicle, causing both cars to be written off. I was stationary at a pelican traffic light, the initial impact thrusted my head and neck forward, I felt my arms raise in what felt like floating. The police were involved but my concern was that the successful surgery carried out by Mr Dabke was undone as my thumbs felt stiff with a numbness in both arms and hands. My solicitors dealing with the personal injury matter arranged for three medical experts over a period of time, to examine me along with regular visits to my physiotherapists Michelle Long who noticed my condition was worsening and referred me back to Mr Dabke, via my GP as she felt the medical experts diagnosed incorrectly. Mr Dabke during the clinic arranged for an urgent MRI that showed damage to C6/7, he explained to me that my condition would continue worsening if not operated on. Mr Dabke explained the options available to me, he also advised that once again he would operate from the posterior. I had every confidence in Mr Dabke and gave my consent for him to carry out a laminectomy. The procedure took place on the 3rd of May 2023. I had a follow up outpatients appointment on the 14th of June 2023 with Mr Dabke, we were both very pleased with the success of the operation and that I am enjoying the early improvements in my condition, I could not believe it when I played my Fender and Gibson guitars shortly after the procedure, so I made a video and showed it to Mr Dabke during our outpatient appointment, I believe it gave Mr Dabke a reward of job satisfaction, “I hope so” I am hopeful that the improvement will continue over the one to two year period as once again explained to me by Mr Dabke. I am sure anyone reading this will understand why I feel lucky to have been referred/introduced to Mr Harshad Dabke. Thank you

I was referred to Mr Dabke with a serious back issue. After very careful discussions, scans and a further discussion he decided to operate. It was very successful. Throughout, including follow us, he was extremely pleasant and personable, and expressed very clearly all the possible medical situations. I walked in bent double, and now walk upright.
