The only criticism I would have of my experience of Mr Dabke was the fact that after my operation every other person on my Ward was visited at least once, some twice, by their Surgeon to check on how they were feeling after their respective operations, whereas I was told at least 3 times that Mr Dabke was coming but he never turned up until the last day when my blood pressure had dropped too low and he had to give his permission for me to be discharged. Other than the above, the treatment I received from Mr Dabke was very good.

Response from Mr Harshad Dabke

I make it a point to see all patients in the evening on the day of surgery and every day until discharge. However I can't come frequently or at a fixed time every day as I sometimes get held up due to work commitments in other hospitals or if I am emergency on-call elsewhere. In such situations I do get an up date about all patients by phoning my team in New Hall. However I greatly appreciate your feedback and will endeavour to make necessary changes. I wish you well with your recovery.

It has been the greatest of pleasure being treated by Mr. Dabke and his amazing team. I first met him at the trauma clinic on the 25th January after I had flown back from Canada where I had spent 6 weeks staying with my daughter but sadly prior to going there I had a bad high impact fall and knew that I had injured my back but flew to Canada 2 days later. I visited my gp upon my return and was referred for a spinal x-ray which showed fractures in my spine. I was urgently referred to the Orthopaedic team and was seen very quickly - the whole journey was seamless and everyone was so lovely. All the teams involved from outpatients, x-ray departments, the amazing staff in theatres and the ward were all so professional, caring with lovely senses of humour. I cannot thank Mr. Dabke enough for his great kindness and compassion - right from my first meeting I had great faith in him and trusted him completely. He inspired confidence in me and he always went that extra mile. Following my operation I worked hard on my recovery as a sign of great respect to this very talented man and have done very well - he would be very proud of me as I have come forwards in leaps and bounds! THANKYOU SO MUCH MR. DABKE AND YOUR WONDERFUL TEAM FOR PUTTING ME BACK ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY.
