When I first spoke to Natasha in clinic I'd been referred because of a high calcium level which had been picked up as a result of a blood test. I had put my symptoms down to getting a bit older and putting on some weight (tiredness in muscles, forgetting things, being a bit grumpy). Following my operation, within days I was feeling better, more positive and with much more energy, walking instead of taking he car. I was a little worried about the operation, I'd never had an operation, but I was up and walking about within 2-3 hours, back home the following day and I went on holiday in the UK the following week. I had a sore throat after the operation for 1-2 days, a croaky voice for 4-5 days and I have a very faint, thin scar now 8 weeks later. All of this, I had discussed with Natasha beforehand and was expecting. If a friend were wondering whether to go ahead with the operation, because there are risks that Natasha explained, I would recommend they go ahead.
