I had mixed experiences with Dr. Price. She is known as a great surgeon and I must say my scars from her surgery were minimal (I had to have another surgery less than a year later using the same incisions and that surgeon wasn't able to make the incisions as small unfortunately). I initially felt like she listened to me and I trusted her, but my actual surgery experience was awful. The anesthesiologist was horrible. He was completely dismissive of my past experience with anesthesia and pain and refused to give me appropriate pain medication. I woke up from surgery in utter agony and promptly passed out from the pain. I woke up again screaming with unmanageable pain. I have had multiple major surgeries and never experienced post-operative pain like this. While this was not Dr. Price's direct fault, she did not check up on me after and the next day, when I finally had been given a pain pump and had the pain under control, made a snide remark that I was "high". It was terrible to be so physically and emotionally vulnerable and then have someone you trusted disparage you and minimize your pain. When I was discharged, she refused to write a prescription for strong pain relief despite me still being in agony (thankfully the nurse saw how much I was suffering and got another doctor to write a script for a few oxycodone, which I definitely needed). I was supposed to have a post-op follow-up with her to check I was healing well and got this email from her assistant: "Unfortunately, due to personal reasons and unforeseen circumstances, Natalia Price has had to cancel her clinics and surgical procedures for the foreseeable future" so I had to have a quick phone call with a doctor I never met and who never saw me in person. That was the only post-op care I got. The recovery from surgery took several months and I was not given any support, although I could have benefitted from it.
