Iwent into A/F new years day 2017 , and spent the night in hospital . I was refered to my GP , and from them to cardiology . This initially took some time , and I had a conversion in June 2017 , which lasted 3 months , before I went back into AF . I felt my life was on hold , and I was quite scared at this point . I then was in contact with Dr Chen , wo had put me on a list for an ablation , at Harefield hospital . I saw Dr Chen in the Autum , and he was surprised I did not have a date . Whilst in his office , he tried to find out where I was on the list , and promised to try and move it along . As a result of his intervention , I was given an ablation , in December 2017 , by Dr chen . Whilst in hospital recovering , he visited me and explained that it had gone well and that he was pleased with the results . This was a huge relief , and I very much appreciated that he had taken the time to talk to me personally , especially as he was clearly very busy at that time . Since than I have had a number of follow up visits , with Dr Chen , who on each occasion has looked at my medication and adjusted it accordingly . I am no longer on beta blockers as a result . I now feel 100% better , and feel that I have my life back . I know it may not last forever , and I may go back into AF at some point . Dr Chen has always said to get back in touch , if I have any problems . As a result I am not so afraid of the future , knowing Dr Chen will be there to help as much as he can . At all times during this period , Dr Chen took time to explain the operations and the slight risks involved , as a result I always felt fully involved , and able to make my own informed decisions . I would fully recommend this proceedure , and can only thank Dr Chen for his skill and proffesionalism

May I say, my sincere thanks to the entire Cardiac team at St Peters Hospital for giving me back a quality of live I had not ever expected again. I had been fitted with a CRT-P Pacemaker in February 2017 for treatment of AF and heart failure by Dr Ian Beeton and this was a great improvement to my health then in August I started experiencing more serious problems with my heart rhythm. On contacting the Cardiac department and given an ECG, Lisa from the Cardiac department whom had been an immense help at this time referred me to Dr Z Chen and his Arrhythmia clinic. On seeing Dr Zhong Chen the first time I was very quickly put at ease with his professionalism and kindness, and I felt my latest problem was in capable hands. I was prescribed Amiododrone for the immediate future and was asked after consultation and my perusal of the Ablation procedural notes if I wanted to be put on the waiting list for an Ablation. Almost immediately on taking the Amiodarone the Arrhythmia symptoms disappeared and after further visits to Dr Chen’s clinic I then had the Ablation procedure which was carried out at the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital, the care and attention I received there was exceptional and I had no problems with the procedure or after care, and I would not hesitate in recommending this Cardiac team. It is now 5 months since my procedure was carried out and my fitness is almost back to normal With no AF, no Arrhythmia and my heart LV back from 20 to 56%. I fill so very lucky, Thank you Cardiac Team.

Dr. Chen is an outstanding Doctor. He has been treating me for Atrial Fibrillation for almost a year and carried out an ablation at Harefield Hospital. He has also subsequently fitted me with a Pacemaker. I do not now have AF and feel so much better. Dr. Chen is extremely pleasant, polite and very easy to talk to. He listens to queries and concerns and comes forward with explanations in great detail. He also discusses, again in great detail, a plan for my health care and suggests possible alternatives. I have every confidence in Dr. Chen and feel very comfortable attending his clinics. I would recommend Dr. Chen without hesitation or reservation.

A genuine pleasure to meet Dr Chen - this is now my third visit. Throughout I have found him to be pleasant, courteous and unfailingly helpful. Equally as important, he does listen and actively considers what he has been told.

Right from the first meeting Dr. Chen gave me full confidence that the ablation I was to receive could be the change I needed to help cure my atrial fibrillation. All the information I required he supplied and then carried out a very successful operation. A charming man I would recommend to anyone with the same problems. An excellent consultant.
