Absolutely appalling experience. I was having several post-covid issues, including a racing heart and fainting if standing for too long. I raised the idea of postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS) with Dr Dubrey, which seemedto match my symptoms, and Dr Dubrey dismissed it as a "women's problem" (I am a woman!) and also made a strange comment about mini skirts(?!). He refused to do any testing for this, or really engage with my concerns. A month later I saw a different cardiologist who did both a tilt table and active stand test, and I was diagnosed with POTS. Medication has helped immensely.
Dr Dubrey wrote a letter to my mothers GP, which we have only just had access to, describes my then 82 year old mother as being “incredibly de conditioned in addition to being overweight”. My mother is 4 feet 11 inches & weighed 8.5 stone at that time with long term arthritis and very anxious after losing her husband of 64 years. How dare he be so rude & judgemental about a patient he clearly does not know. This is an example of poor care to the highest degree.
