I really took to Dr Stenner. He called me Susan a few times, she is my Mum who has also seen so I did need to prompt I'm Helen. But that's rather funny anyway so no offence was taken. He is a very kind, dry, humorous Doctor. If you like that you'll like him. I really like him. I found his way of speaking to me very likeable & a bit like me, probably why I like him. A very straightforward approach, no messing about with funniness imposed. If you like that approach then Dr Stenner is for you.
Dr Stenner has treated me for colitis for the last eight years. This included the performance of a colonoscopy in 2008. I find him to be knowledgeable, genuinely sympathetic, and very responsive to my needs. An efficient, skilled and recommended physician.
I saw this doctor regards to my IBS at Crawley hospital and he was very insensitive and didn’t really come across as caring, more like a "you have IBS it won’t go away get on with it!" - I came out of the appointment really disappointed and annoyed, try and avoid this doctor!
Dr Stenner is professional, easy to talk to and very caring.
Left junior Dr to carry out colonoscopy largely unsupervised; he was either out of the room or had his back to the monitor (typing up report on previous patient) for most of the time. He took over from junior Dr for a short period when she struggled to advance the scope; tutted the whole time ; never introduced himself; never spoke to me ; has reported that a dre was carried out when it was not...... Can accept his lack of courtesy and have no objection to junior doctors carrying out procedures under appropriate supervision ; however, he has left me worrying something has been missed (following an urgent 2 week rule referral) due to his inattentiveness and lack of supervision of an inexperienced trainee.....
