I found Dr Edward Petzer completely understanding of my concerns and without hesitation he agreed that tests should be undertaken to address the worries I had and provide me with reassurance. All my appointments were arranged swiftly with assistance from his wonderful secretary Sharon, with results being relayed promptly. I was so impressed with the facilities and all the staff that I came into contact with at The Spire Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Fordcombe and KIMS Hospital, Maidstone. Dr Petzer is a wonderful doctor - he has the ability to make you feel relaxed but also exceptionally well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Petzer for heart related tests or being seen at either of these first class hospital facilities.

Dr Petzer was excellent with me. He assessed me quickly and throughly. His advice led to an urgent visit to AandE at Ashford that led to heart surgery within five days. I cannot thank him enough. His expertise and calm demeanour were not just reassuring. They were life changing. Thank you.

Dr Petzer has a calm reassuring manner. He explained medical terms clearly and the risks associated with one of then tests. I had consulted Dr Petzer a couple of years ago so was keen to see him again when I had further problems as I have every confidence in him.

Great consultation and care. Secretarial support needs to be more responsive when given important details to pass on to the consultant viz prescribed meds that raise blood pressure but I did not mention during consultation.

Dr. Edward Petzer has been a consultant cardiologist for over 16 years, working closely with those in need of cardiological treatment. Has has cared for patients needing cardiological diagnosis, SADS (inherited cardiac disease) PoTS, blood pressure issues, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, chest pains, collapses, faints or reduced tolerance to exercise, syncope, cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation and more. With an experienced medical team at all of his operating hospitals Dr. Petzer has been able to support patients back to health.
Dr Petzer completed his training in Australia in 2003 which resulted in him obtaining his FRACP. He then spent two years at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary gaining experience in his sub specialist areas of interest which are electro-physiology and device therapy.
In 2006 Dr Petzer’s cutting edge research resulted in a poster presentation at Heart Rhythm 2006 in Boston.
A current interest of Dr Petzer is the development at Darent Valley Hospital of a Device Management Service.
