I have suffered from palpitations for years, but the problem has eluded diagnosis due to its intermittent nature. In February this year I was fitted with an implantable loop recorder to record the problem and an appointment to see Mr Fox in July. I was told by Mr Fox, the problem is real, I can see what’s wrong and I can fix it. Mr Fox is a straight-talking man, with a very personable nature, and fills you with confidence in his ability. He is happy to take as long as you need to explain you treatment plan.

Doctor Fox is a really pleasant gentleman. He explains things clearly and does not talk down to you. He is really efficient, he grasped my problem instantly and explained my options in detail. His obviously detailed knowledge and experience fill you with confidence and I felt totally confident in following his recommended course of action.
My operation went as planned and because Dr Fox had explained what would happen in some detail I didn’t feel unduly stressed at any time.
Although it is early days my operation appears to have been a complete success so I am very grateful to Dr Fox.

Hard to believe that such a life changing procedure is performed as day surgery. Care was fantastic and had full confidence in doctor and team. SVT was gone immediately after procedure and have not looked back! Many thanks!!

Dr David Fox is a highly experienced cardiologist/electrophysiologist in Manchester and has been a consultant for over 10 years.
He spent a period of his training at one of the worlds premier heart rhythm institutes (University of Western Ontario, Canada) working with pioneering cardiologist Professor George J Klein, the author of over 500 medical publications.
Dr Fox specialises in the treatment of all heart rhythm disorders and carries out over 220 ablation procedures annually and has a particular interest in atrial fibrillation ablation (pulmonary vein isolation). He also is fully trained in all aspects of pacemaker/ICD implantation.
He is the lead for cardiac rhythm services at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester and runs the annual audit program to ensure high levels of safety in and quality of the atrial fibrillation ablation program.
