17th April 2018

After suffering the horrendous side effects of AF for the past 3 years, and several blue light admissions to hospital I was referred to David Fox for an ablation. Its scary when they tell you all the things that can go wrong but when you're life is on hold like mine was and keeping fit is no longer an option and even a trip to the supermarket leaves you feeling like you've run a marathon it becomes an easy decision to make when you are under the care of this lovely man. He doesn't mince his words, he tells you how it is in a non nonsense way and he listens, really listens. He, along with his experienced team, carried out my cryogenic ablation in January 2018 and today 17th April 2018, I have been discharged from his care. I have not had an episode of AF since the ablation and it's a wonderful feeling not to be aware of my heart beating, racing etc. It's early days still but I know I am well on my way to getting my life back. AF changes your personality, it makes you anxious, it stops you from going places and doing things so I just wanted to say, if you are lucky enough to be offered an ablation, under the care of this man, I can recommend him without hesitation, he really is a safe pair of hands! Thank you to David, his team and to all the staff at Wythenshaw I had the pleasure to meet.
