As a patient and over more recent years a full time carer, having a local and supportive GP is very important me. Having Whyteleafe Surgery so close for support, needed blood tests and repeat medication, has been a vital element in the recovery and stability of my mum's health condition. Dr Daniel Matthews, having been in the practice for relatively a short time as my GP, over the past year, has always spent the needed time to ensure that all concerns, possible resolution options, and referrals are managed with and dealt in a positive, flexible, professional yet friendly and constructive manner. I feel the needed time is always given, to talk, and express my concerns, which is not always the case from past experiences, Options on medication are always clearly explained and discussed, a clear and professional approach is always given and written notes and support options are always made available. It is great to have a Dr available like this. Gaining appointments and the booking process has always been a fairly timely and straight forward process. Internet options available at the practice make it far easier to use if needed. From having contact in the past and experience of using multiple 'Outer London' based Mental Health services, various care support teams and GP Doctors, (outside of the current Tandridge borough), had sadly resulted in years of dealing with, in some cases, serious mis-management, whether it be - poor - Practice, Service or Doctor related, management or limited funding connected, it is concerning when it is your 'health' in the equation. With the Whyteleafe Surgery, it is refreshing to be able to have the high level of support and care that is given, reinforcing values in care that are needed to myself, and from how busy it always is there, needed by many others. It shows small NHS teams like this can work well, in many cases saving me and others using dilute funded, and further stretching larger Hospital based services.
