Dr Negoescu îs extremely approachable, listens to what I have to say and acts accordingly. She was extremely quick to rectify my lack of rituximab infusions when I moved from London to Isleham 4 years ago. I can not recommend her enough to anybody who needs a kind and caring consultant.

Fabulous consultant. She works so hard to do all she can for me. She works tirelessly going above and beyond. She is lovely and throughout the pandemic has given appropriate advice for me so I can remain safe and well, appropriately managing my covid risk.

Dr. Negoescu has been my saviour during a very painful and inflammatory arthritis attacks. Always there to help and always reviewing the best way to help me.Always ready to listen and so empathetic and supportive. AND she has! She took me off Methrotexate, when we realised that it was exacerbating my condition and put me on a Biologic which has worked wonders. I am so fortunate to have her as my consultant and hope she will continue to monitor my condition. Thank you so much!

  • Rheumatology

Profile

I am a Consultant Rheumatologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. Having grown up in a small town in southern Romania, I qualified in Bucharest, where I started my training in Rheumatology, before moving to the UK in 2012.

I joined Addenbrooke's Hospital in 2013 as a research fellow and spent 18 months working in the Rheumatology Research Unit, gaining experience in clinical trials and the use of biologics and small molecules.

I am currently leading the early inflammatory arthritis service in Cambridge, and along with my colleagues in Paediatrics, I am developing a transition service for young people with chronic rheumatological conditions, aiming to improve their journey towards adult services, and helping build their confidence in managing their condition. I also do community Rheumatology clinics in Ely and Newmarket, for people who are local to these areas.

Areas of interest:
Early inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, adolescent care, small joint ultrasound, drug safety, joint injections, treatment pathways.
