What should have been a worrying day, I had complete trust in Mr Thorne and his team. They were all such wonderful people.

I really felt looked after. Great care and communication. The only delay was when a Cannula was placed. Otherwise the whole daycare procedure was excellent.

staff were very efficient & organised My experience was excellent All doctors and nurses in this centre were very kind and they look after me very well.

The staff were all lovely. Treated me with care & respect & kept checking on me regularly. Happy to make tea or help with trips to the bathroom whenever needed. It was a horrible frightening day but they made it more bareable

Only problem is they had problems with Cannulation. I had three people trying to find a vein. The last person was a trained Anaesthetist and he had two attempts. Although I have small veins, I never have problems on the Chemo ward in the MacMillan Building. Maybe more training is required?

I was impressed from start to finish with the professional attitude from diagnosis to prognosis and how i was fully informed of what the process involved for and against and possible side effects .part of the interview was talking about the overall benefits long term and the staff convinced me it was in my interest to proceed. On the day although the procedure was pretty unpleasant all the staff did their best to reassure me and make me as comfortable possible. As at the moment my symptoms have receded with the the known possible side effect the relief of my pain is immeasurable and i will be eternally grateful to every one involved if this continues .Many many thanks Phil goodwin
