My time with titration team was extended due to the nature of my reaction to medication. My prescriber Claire was brilliant throughout. She ensured I was ok, provided as much guidance as she could, checked in & made sure I was comfortable at every change/up of dosage. Claire went above & beyond to help. The only thing I found difficult was the process being on an App, I find communicating online very difficult and prefer telephone calls so I can understand or have some interpret what is being said to me.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I note that you found communicating via our portal quite difficult. We do understand that, while some people welcome the convenience of online communications, an online service does not suit everyone. Nevertheless, it sounds as though you were able to build a good rapport with your titration prescriber, and are now feeling settled on your medication. Thank you for recommending our service, and I will pass on your feedback to your prescriber.

From the very start this has been a wonderful, accessible and helpful experience. I had struggled to get diagnosis and treatment through my GP due to long waiting lists and could not afford to be treated privately. The proforma referral letter to start the process was enormously helpful to someone the Neuordiversity as this would normally be a barrier. The initial sessions were thorough and rigorous but considerate, Dr. Gupta, my psychiatrist, took time to really understand my situation and descriptions of symptoms, scheduling extra sessions when matters were not fully resolved. Dr. Hassan my titration specialist, monitored my progress closely and was always on hand to answer queries, acting quickly to change my medication when required. The process is all online, but that was very convenient and in no way should be assumed that this is not a professional service, I've had more time and detailed interaction with PUK than I have had with my GP in person. The support teams are really efficient and considerate, when I've need to call up or check anything they are always super helpful and have called me to arrange appointments. The resulting treatment, has been life changing, and it would not have been possible without the team at PUK. I can't thank them enough.

Having a late diagnosis of ADHD. I have found the whole process and very positive experience. The staff, the doctor and the prescriber have all been 100% spot-on with my care . And patience and helped me understand the feelings that I’ve had over the years, and the reasons I’ve done things said things and helps me understand why my brain has been running on full revs. It’s now I can reflect on my past with a positive attitude and relief that I wasn’t stupid as people used to call me as a child. I wasn’t easily distracted because I was lazy as I was told as a child brain just work differently because of what I have learnt, I can now help others with the same problems. I’m thankful that I have been able to get a diagnosis be treated and helped to understand about ADHD. I would more than recommend people going through This company as only two days ago did I get a phone call from the NHS ADHD assessment team . The weight for the NHS assessment team is approximately three years plus this is a much better way of doing things how much quicker and efficient way I have nothing but praise for this company and all the team players in it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help you have given me and support, it is more than appreciated

I asked for a phone appointment before I started medication/titration. They set me up with the wrong person, and I had to wait to hear from someone else. This someone else was to be my doctor for the duration of my titration. He did the following: 1) Put words in my mouth regarding my symptoms. Told me I clearly wanted a ‘problem fixing’ otherwise I wouldn’t be seeking medication (On the phone call where I was overtly deciding whether or not it would be worth seeking medication) 2) Told me any side effects of the medication would be mild and manageable (they weren’t, at all). 3) Got short with me repeatedly when I tried to explain my hesitation to start medication as I didn’t understand the process. I expressed vehemently that I was not at a position in my life where I could potentially loose a month or two to bad side effects, or to the medication altering my psychology. During my meds titration, I experienced debilitating symptoms, which the medication’s instructions said warranted immediately stopping the medication and talking to my doctor. Doctor told me to persist. This was after I was promised that the medication would not interfere with my daily life. I stopped taking them on my own, after which they decided to change my medication. The exhaustion caused me to be bedridden on a daily basis. My doctor thought this was fine, that I needed to ‘keep taking it to adjust properly’. As mentioned, the medication information booklet said I should have stopped taking them. Psychiatry UK massively mistreated me and didn’t take my symptoms seriously. In my final meeting where I hoped to be transferred to my GP, my doctor managed to sneak in a few more ‘you should try to focus more’ comments, which I’ve been bombarded with throughout my time with him. Comments like these undermine my condition both in severity and in regard to the whole list of other symptoms that go largely ignored. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

I couldn’t fault the care I’ve received at all. Ever since I was younger I have always struggled with different aspects of my life and it’s only when I am a university student where I took things forward and ended up here with a diagnosis. The staff I’ve spoken to could have not been more kind and understanding, they are fantastic and so helpful. It’s been a lot more smoother than I anticipated and everything has worked out well for me in such a timely manner. Definitely has changed my life.

After a dreadful experience elsewhere, I used right to choose and came here. July 2022 I sent my letter and I was seen and diagnosed in the November. The wait between this and Titration felt brutal - 6 months but communication was good. I think the service does excellent work and I only hope they recruit more staff to support more people because my medication has genuinely improved my life.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We understand that you found the wait for titration difficult. We have recently experienced another surge in referrals via the RTC scheme, and we are aware that some of our patients are having to wait longer than we would like. We are doing everything we can to reduce waiting times, by recruiting heavily and continuously reviewing our practice to find new ways to streamline our processes. Nevertheless, it is good to hear that you are now settled on your new medication and that this has made such a difference to your life. Thank you for recommending our service.

It’s been a long journey but definitely worth it. Since a little child, I have always felt different to others and always questioned why I am the way that I am. So to have confirmation of my diagnosis, and that I’m not delusional has been a huge relief and comforting. I can now understand myself more and how to deal with certain situations. The whole process has been a breeze, even when I was not timely with my response and had a few issues on the way. However, my prescriber (Fungai) was very understanding and patient with me. He was quick to respond and immediately switched my medication when it wasn’t suitable for me. We finally found the perfect dosage for me and I couldn’t be more grateful!

Efficient replies to communication, professional and efficient service. Psychiatrist was sensitive towards previous trauma and handled the appointment extremely professional. I specifically liked tool of ‘Seen’ or ‘Not Yet Seen’ on the messaging software as this helped keep me up to date with where we were, especially important with an online service
