No words can describe how grateful I am to Jennifer Winnard, my prescribing nurse, and Dr Jacek Krysztofiak, my... Doctor. A fantastic experience, dignity, respect, and great communication. I would highly recommend Psychiatry UK for ADHD treatment.

I would recommend Psychiatry UK for ADHD assessment and tritation. Dr Axleby was helpful and knowledgeable from my first appointment, right through till my end of tritation appointment. The whole process was quite fast, I was referred by my GP in April and diagnosed in late August. I was fortunate that Dr Axleby oversaw my tritation so I started medication in September. It is now December and I am settled on a dose and all being well my GP will agree to shared care. I cannot fault this service, everyone I have had contact with has been amazing. Thank you!

In early 2021 I suspected I had ADHD which had been missed my whole life. After getting nowhere with my GP I realised I would need to look into this privately. I researched this thoroughly and Psychiatry UK stood out to me for their professionalism and transparency. From the moment I contacted them I was kept informed throughout and found the process smooth I felt in good hands. I found the portal easy to use and navigate and meant I could contact them at any time and always received a timely response. I was diagnosed with ADHD by Dr Sarmila Sinha, who I would highly recommend, in April and then went through the titration process. My titration nurse throughout was Vicki Connell who was wonderfully patient with me and answered all my questions. She really listened to any concerns I had and took my lead when it came to my care. My life has improved immeasurably since first contacting PUK and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My doctor (Dr San Sreenath) was brilliant. I was looking for a diagnosis for ADHD. Due to my condition, I missed my first appointment as there was some confusion on my end. My appointment was rescheduled, and it took a little while, which is understandable in the current climate. It wasn't anyone's fault but my own, however, I was given a lot of conflicting information by the admin team which was quite upsetting. For example, I was told that if I was on the cancellations list I would get a new appointment quicker. I was then told by someone else months later that this was not the case. Which I found quite frustrating, as my work was suffering and I was already in trouble and really needed some help. However, I was able to get an earlier appointment and everything got resolved, which was great. On the whole, my experience was positive, but there seems to be some miscommunication between the departments and the admin team that I think should be addressed. I found it quite distressing missing my appointment as a result of my neurological condition, as I had waited a long time for it. While some of the admin team reassured me and genuinely did their best to try and help, others made me feel I was to blame and that I had to manage my expectations. And confused me further with conflicting information. Which wasn't a nice feeling considering I was suffering from low self-esteem already and was coming to terms with the fact that I may have been suffering most of my life with ADHD. As I said, on the whole, it was great, but admin seem to be giving out conflicting information, and I did not feel I was treated with enough sensitivity and respect by some individuals.

With wait times of up to 3 years for an ADHD assessment on the NHS , Psych UK was able to offer me an appointment within 6 month using the right to choose . All is done on line and the Psychiatrist that I have seen was just amazing and so knowledgeable. I can't understand any of the negative reviews I have seen. The service is just amazing .

Expedited referral and started titration quickly due to concerns of withdrawing from university expressed by my GP.

I have had a very positive experience with PsychiatryUK. I was seen and assessed quickly (Referred February, assessed April) - though I did have to wait until August to begin titration onto the medication. All of the staff have been fantastic with me, very responsive to questions and queries, and the support i've had from the psychiatrist was great. The only reason I have dropped half a star on the recommendation is that the period between April and August whilst waiting for titration was not a great time - i feel that the waiting list for titration needs to be addressed, as it's a really hard place to be in, knowing that the light at the end of the tunnel is so far away. If there weren't the wait list, i wouldn't hesitate in recommending them (and in fact, i have done - though i did explain about the wait for meds).

Dr Adewusi was amazing! He put me at ease from the beginning and was very patient with me while I was tripping over myself trying to explain everything that was making me so anxious and the steps that led to me thinking I have ADHD. He was very kind, very understanding, very helpful in giving me the time and cues to find my words, and he was very polite and considerate without being stuffy. He adapted to my being somewhat rudely (unintentionally) direct, and I appreciated that he wasn't rigid in his approach and therefore made the assessment flow very organically. He even called me personally to inform me of some mix-ups with the appointment (it got rescheduled twice), and explained and apologised even though it wasn't his fault. I very much appreciated the hands on approach and his consideration. By the end, I was so relaxed that I even forgot that I just got diagnosed with a chronic mental illness! In fairness, it was a relief to finally have an explanation for my problems, but his attitude and bedside manner definitely contributed to the positive ending. And for all of that I am very grateful :)
